Suzuki V-Strom 650 For Sale
The 2012 Suzuki V-Strom 650 is a mid-range adventure bike and is powered by a 645cc V-Twin engine which puts out 68bhp. It was first launched in 2004 and updated in 2017.
- Good all rounder, comfy
- Need tools to change screen height, limited electronics, mirrors
What Is It?
It's powered by a liquid cooled 645cc two cylinder V-Twin engine, producing 68bhp at 8,800rpm and maximum torque at 6,400rpm. The engine is essentially the same as the SV650, but detuned a notch, and it's Euro 3 compliant.
- Aluminium twin spar frame and swingarm
- Dual 310mm discs up front with Tokico 2 piston calipers
- 260mm disc at the rear with Nissin single piston caliper
- ABS system
- 43mm fork with 5-level pre-load adjustment and 150mm travel
- Adjustable rear shock with 159mm travel
- Gear indicator
- SDTV fuel injection
- 6 speed gearbox
It's essentially the same bike as the £600 more expensive DL650XT but without wire spoked wheels, belly pan, engine bar and hand guards. The XT's wire wheels do give a small off-road advantage but they also look cool so check out both versions of the bike.
Both lights are 60/55W Halogen for great visibility and the screen can be bolted into one of three positions.
Accessories include a touring windscreen with adjustable spoiler, multiple top/side case options, centre stand, engine bars, LED fog lamps, LED indicators, heated grips, Aluminium belly pan, 12V socket, hand guards and Aluminium chain guard. On the seat front you can add a comfort seat, +20mm high seat or -20mm low seat.
The 19" front wheel takes a 110/80 tyre and the rear 17" a 150/70.
Colours: Black, grey, red, blue, white
