Kawasaki Ninja H2 For Sale
The Kawasaki Ninja H2 is a legendary dedicated sports bike and is powered by a supercharged 998cc inline four engine which produces 197bhp. The track focused H2R adds wings and ups the power to 306bhp but doubles the price.
- Awesome rear wheel design, wins at Top Trumps!
- Fuel gauge, range, hot hot hot
What Is It?
It's powered by a liquid cooled 998cc in-line four cylinder engine with a supercharger, producing 197.4bhp at 11,000rpm and maximum torque at 10,500rpm. The ram-air effect adds another 10bhp to that with RRP at £22,000 in 2015 and £25,500 in 2017.
- Steel Trellis frame with single sided swingarm
- Dual 330mm discs up front with Brembo M50 2 piston calipers
- 250mm disc at the rear with Brembo 2 piston caliper
- Non-switchable ABS and adjustable engine braking
- 9-level traction control, cruise control
- Adjustable 43mm KYB AOS-II fork with 120mm travel
- Adjustable KYB shock with 135mm travel
- 4->1 Akrapovic exhaust system (£1,360 option outside the UK)
- Ohlins steering damper
- Quick shifter, gear position indicator
- Full LED lighting
- 6 speed dog-ring gearbox
Power is restricted from about 10,000rpm even though the redline shows at 14,000rpm on the dash. The H2R does build power all the way up to the 14k and the base H2 clearly harbours some hidden potential.
The 5-spoke 17" wheels take a 120/70 tyre at the front and massive 200/55 on the beautifully designed rear.
Accessories include frame sliders (£174), 20mm handlebar risers (£185), 80° tyre warmers, 50°/80°/100° evo tyre warmers (£476) and front/rear paddock stands (£74/£137).
2017: H2 and H2R get Bosch Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) powered cornering ABS with bank angle display, new Ohlins TTX36 shock, new levers and up+down quickshifter. H2 power up to 202.2bhp and maximum torque now at 10,000rpm.
2017: £28,000 Carbon edition launched but limited to 120 bikes with a number stamp on the supercharger and it gets you a carbon front cowl plus H2R matte paint. They will be uber rare though!
2018: H2 Carbon gets a new mirror/matte dual colour scheme.
2019: Power increased to 228bhp (239bhp with ram-air), new Ohlins TTX36 rear shock, minor upgrade to the latest Brembo brakes and colour TFT dash from the H2 SX SE.
Colours: Any, as long as it's black
