What Is It?
The Suzuki GSX-R600 is a popular sports bike and is powered by a 599 cc inline four engine which puts out 100 bhp at 13,000 rpm and maximum torque at 11,000 rpm.
Features include:
- Aluminium frame and swingarm
- Dual 320 mm discs up front with Tokico four piston calipers
- 220 mm disc at the rear with single piston caliper
- Adjustable fork
- Adjustable rear shock with 130 mm travel
- 4->1 exhaust system
- 6 speed gearbox
Compared to the 1997-2000 model it's a complete overhaul with Suzuki Dual Throttle Valve (SDTV) fuel injection, a slimmer outline, firmer ride, new digital / analogue dash, a steering damper and a small increase in power to 100 bhp.
There's also a longer travel fork, 20 mm longer swingarm and a lightweight crank. The larger GSX-R750 and GSX-R1000 use the same frame and have the same styling.
The 3-spoke 17" wheels take a 120/70 tyre at the front and a 180/55 at the rear.
