Honda VFR800 For Sale

The 2006 Honda VFR800 is a premium sports tourer and is powered by a 782cc V4 engine which puts out 107bhp. It originally launched in 1998 with updates in 2002 and 2014.

Honda VFR800

What Is It?

It's powered by a liquid cooled V4 VTEC 781.7cc four stroke engine, producing 107bhp at 10,500rpm and maximum torque at 8,750rpm. It's also a stressed member of the frame.

Features include:

  • Aluminium twin spar frame with Steel sub-frame
  • Dual 296mm discs up front with 3 piston calipers
  • 256mm disc at the rear with 3 piston caliper
  • 43mm fork with adjustable pre-load and 109mm travel
  • Rear shock with 119mm travel
  • Colour coded pillion seat cover
  • Linked brakes
  • 6 speed gearbox

With the VTEC system two pairs of valves operate above 6,600rpm and one pair below 6,100rpm, with the nature of the transition depending on how aggressively the bike is being ridden i.e. it's a smoother transition if you are taking it easy and more instant if you are going for it.

Improvements over the 2002-2005 model include a smoother VTEC transition and bodywork tweaks. The 5-spoke 17" wheels take a 120/70 tyre up front and 180/55 at the rear. Accessories include colour coded panniers, top box and optional ABS which adds 5kg to the weight.

In 2011 Honda released an adventure version of the VFR800 called the VFR800X Crossrunner.
