What's Good?

The first gen FJR1300 is a very comfortable bike and great for touring. I've ridden down to Lands End and up to John o Groats on it.

Being the 2003 model it only has 5 gears though, with first gear having plenty of pull. The bike rides well two up, being comfortable for both rider and pillion.

Any Downsides?

The FJR handles well in all weather and I do miss having ABS but it's not that much of a problem. Getting to the battery is a challenge and takes some time.

To Sum Up

Overall it's a great bike for touring, it pulls in every gear and I'm very happy with the riding position.
