What Is It?

The incredibly low priced Zip was introduced in 2000 and became quite popular due to the low price, high reliability and build quality. Available engines:

  • Zip 50 2T (50cc 2 stroke, air cooled, Hi-PER4 engine)
  • Zip 50 4T (50cc 4 stroke, air cooled, Hi-PER4 engine)

The 4T fuel economy is significantly better at around 115mpg.

2T/4T Features include:

  • Twist and go CVT transmission
  • 175mm front disc with twin piston callipers
  • 110mm rear drum brake
  • 10" wheels
  • Electric and kick starter
  • Adjustable seat height: 750mm / 765mm / 780mm

The sportier looking Zip SP is powered by a 50cc 2 stroke, single cylinder, liquid cooled, Hi-PER2 engine. It has a 200mm hydraulically operated front disc brake and 7.6 litre fuel capacity. SP stands for Sport Production, celebrating Piaggio's scooter racing performance.

Colours: Red, blue, black and women's special edition white.
