What Is It?

The Husqvarna FS 450 is a race focused supermoto style bike. It's powered by a liquid cooled 449.3 cc single cylinder four stroke engine which puts out roughly 63 bhp at 9,500 rpm and maximum torque at 7,400 rpm.

Features include:

  • Steel tubular frame with Polyamide sub-frame and Aluminium swingarm
  • 310 mm wavy disc at the front with Brembo M50 four piston caliper
  • 220 mm wavy disc at the rear with Brembo single piston caliper
  • Adjustable 48 mm WP upside down fork with 280 mm travel
  • Adjustable WP rear piggyback shock with 292 mm travel
  • Keihin EMS
  • Adler slipper clutch
  • Electric starter
  • Handguards
  • 1->1 exhaust system
  • Pankl 5 speed gearbox

The wire-spoked 16.5" tubeless Behr front wheel takes a Metzeler Racetec SM 125/80 tyre and a 165/55 at the rear.

Model History & Updates

  • 2016: New 380 g lighter suspension, 1 kg lighter subframe, 250 g lighter swingarm and 1.8 kg lighter engine.
  • 2018: 1.7 kg lighter WP AER fork, WP DCC rear shock, composite subframe with 30% Carbon Fibre, launch control, switchable traction control, two engine maps, Alpina wheels, Bridgestone Battlax Racing tyres, lighter Lithium battery, new Suter slipper clutch and 105 kg dry.
  • 2019: Stiffer frame and lighter subframe.
  • 2021: WP Xact fork and shock.
  • 2022: Improved frame, Metzeler Racetec SM K1 tyres, updated Pankl gearbox with switchable up only quickshifter and 0.5 kg lighter engine.
