Tell us a bit about you

I'm a 50 year old male and 5'8". I have been riding all my life and currently own 6 bikes.

Why did you choose it?

I had one before and loved it, so decided to buy the new model.

What is good about it?

I find it’s smoother than the previous model and I love the way it rides on any road.

What could be improved?

It would be nice if it had cruise control.

Any mods or upgrades?

Full Termignoni exhaust system and up-map.

What is the economy like?

I’m getting between 70 and 85 mpg depending how I ride.

How is the engine?

I love the engine. It has lazy power but feels strong and will cruise at the decent speed all day, perfect for trips away.

How does it handle?

The X-ADV handles well in the twisties when pushed and feels very similar to the Africa Twin I had.

What are the brakes like?

The brakes are really good and I love the rear brake on the bars. It gives you better control when pushing hard in the twisties.

Honda X-ADV

How reliable have you found it?

This is a bullet-proof motorcycle.

What's the servicing frequency and cost like?

Servicing is every 8,000 miles and really not expensive compared to other bikes.

How would you sum up the model?

It’s a good all round bike. Ideal for commuting, good for trips away and even long distance.
